Viewget – Privacy Policy

Viewget is made by an indie developer. Your privacy is respected and terms & services are simple.

Notification Access Permission

Viewget requires notification access to display images shared through messaging apps like WhatsApp directly on your home screen widgets.

What this permission enables:
• Accessing notifications from your messaging apps
• Showing shared images and captions in your widgets

What we DON’T do:
• We don’t store notification content on external servers
• We don’t share notification data with third parties
• We don’t access notifications from apps other than your configured messaging apps

Important: The notification listener service itself does not collect any personal data. It only processes content locally on your device for widget display. The app separately collects analytics and crash data as listed below in the “What’s collected and processed” section.

Contacts Permission

Viewget requests access to your contacts to help you select which contacts’ images to display in your widgets.

What this permission enables:
• Displaying your contact list so you can choose which contacts to track
• Identifying who sent you an image

What we DON’T do:
• We don’t upload your contacts to any server
• We don’t share your contact information with third parties
• We don’t access contacts beyond what’s needed for widget configuration

Important: Contact data stays entirely on your device. The app separately collects analytics and crash data as listed below in the “What’s collected and processed” section.

What’s collected and processed:

1. Crash & error reports – only so I can fix bugs and make the app better.

2. Basic app usage info – helps me understand which features are useful.

3. Firebase Analytics data – tracks your app usage to improve your experience.

4. Firebase Crashlytics data – crash reports and error data to help fix bugs faster.

5. Device IDs – needed for app integrity and license verifications. Additionally, Google AdMob uses this ID to serve ads.

6. Email – only if you subscribe to the developer newsletter or purchase Support Dev Pack.
