Media Now is made by an indie developer. Your privacy is respected and terms & services are simple.

Notification Listener & Accessibility Service:

Media Now requires notification listener and accessibility service permissions to detect and interact with Samsung OneUI Now Bar media controls.

What: The app accesses notification data and screen elements to detect when the Now Bar appears with media controls.

Why: To provide enhanced media playback control functionality specifically designed for Samsung OneUI Now Bar.

When: Only when you enable these permissions in your device settings to activate the MediaNowEngine service.

What NOT: The app does not read your personal notifications, messages, or any sensitive information. It only detects Now Bar media control UI elements.

No Sharing: We do not share notification data or accessibility information with any third party. All detection happens locally on your device.

These services themselves do not collect any data. The app separately collects analytics and crash data as listed below in the ‘What’s collected and processed’ section.

What’s collected and processed:

• Crash & error reports – only so I can fix bugs and make the app better.
• Basic app usage info – helps me understand which features are useful.
• Firebase Analytics data – tracks your app usage to improve your experience.
• Firebase Crashlytics data – crash reports and error data to help fix bugs faster.
• Device IDs – needed for App integrity and license verifications. Additionally, Google Admob uses this ID to serve ads.
• Email – only if you subscribe to the developer newsletter or purchase Support Dev Pack.
