CoverSnaps is made by an indie developer. Your privacy is respected and terms & services are simple.

Notification Access Permission

CoverSnaps requires access to your notifications to display images from your messaging apps on your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip cover screen widgets.

What this permission enables:
• Reading image attachments from messaging apps (WhatsApp, Google Messages)
• Matching incoming messages to your contacts to show sender photos
• Displaying the latest shared images on your cover screen widgets

What we DON’T do:
• We do NOT store or upload your messages or images to any server
• We do NOT read the text content of your messages
• We do NOT share any notification data with third parties

Important: All image processing happens locally on your device. Images are displayed on widgets only and are not transmitted anywhere.

Contacts Access Permission

CoverSnaps accesses your contacts to match message senders with your saved contacts.

What this permission enables:
• Identifying who sent photos in messaging apps
• Displaying contact names on your cover screen widgets
• Letting you select specific contacts to show on widgets

What we DON’T do:
• We do NOT upload your contacts to any server
• We do NOT share contact information with third parties
• We do NOT store contacts outside your device

What’s collected and processed:

1. Crash & error reports – only so I can fix bugs and make the app better.

2. Basic app usage info – helps me understand which features are useful.

3. Firebase Analytics data – tracks your app usage to improve your experience.

4. Firebase Crashlytics data – crash reports and error data to help fix bugs faster.

5. Device IDs – needed for app integrity and license verifications. Additionally, Google AdMob uses this ID to serve ads.

6. Email – only if you subscribe to the developer newsletter or purchase Support Dev Pack.
