CallerFX ID – Privacy Policy

CallerFX ID – Privacy Policy

CallerFX ID is made by an indie developer. Your privacy is respected and terms & services are simple.

Contacts Access

What: CallerFX ID accesses your device’s contact list to display caller information and photos.

Why: To show personalized caller ID screens with contact photos and names during incoming calls.

When: When you receive a phone call and the accessibility service is enabled.

What CallerFX ID does NOT do with your contacts: CallerFX ID does not upload, share, or transmit your contacts data to any server or third party.

No sharing: Your contacts data stays on your device and is not shared with third parties.

Accessibility Service

CallerFX ID requires accessibility service permission to display custom caller screens with your personalized wallpapers during incoming calls.

This permission allows the app to:

1. Detect incoming phone calls

2. Display custom caller screen overlay

3. Show personalized contact wallpapers and effects

4. Respond to your call actions (answer/reject)

Privacy & Security:

1. Your privacy is our top priority

2. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data

3. All processing happens locally on your device

4. Your photos and contact information never leave your phone

5. This permission is used solely for displaying your custom caller screens

What CallerFX ID does NOT do: The accessibility service only displays caller screens. It does not monitor, record, or access any other app content or user interactions.

No sharing: The accessibility service does not collect or share any data with third parties.

Important: The Accessibility Service and Notification Listener Service themselves do not collect any data. The app separately collects analytics and crash data as listed below in the ‘What’s collected and processed’ section.

Notification Listener Service

What: CallerFX ID uses the Notification Listener Service to detect incoming call notifications.

Why: To trigger the custom caller ID display when a call notification appears.

When: When you receive an incoming call notification.

What CallerFX ID does NOT do: The service only listens for call-related notifications. It does not read, access, or monitor other app notifications.

No sharing: Notification data is not collected or shared with third parties.

Important: The Notification Listener Service itself does not collect any data. The app separately collects analytics and crash data as listed below in the ‘What’s collected and processed’ section.

What’s collected and processed:

  1. Crash & error reports – only so I can fix bugs and make the app better.
  2. Basic app usage info – helps me understand which features are useful.
  3. Firebase Analytics data – tracks your app usage to improve your experience.
  4. Firebase Crashlytics data – crash reports and error data to help fix bugs faster.
  5. Device IDs – needed for App integrity and license verifications. Additionally, Google AdMob uses this ID to serve ads.
  6. Email – only if you subscribe to the developer newsletter or purchase Support Dev Pack.
